Description Claudius Ellsel 2020-08-11 15:37:59 UTC
SUMMARY
Using this with scaling applied does not work as expected. I did not test on X11. Might be rooted at a different product, though.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login to a Wayland session
2. Set a scale factor (like 2)
3. Do a screenshot

OBSERVED RESULT
The resolution is not that of the monitor but the "effective resolution" due to the scaling. This leads to screenshots with a bad resolution and I think maybe reduced sharpness.

EXPECTED RESULT
Screenshots should be taken as the content appears on the screen.

There is another related bug when taking a rectangle screenshot when a "window" with the "effective resolution" is overlapping the screen and one can only draw the rectangle inside there. I might file another report for that but wanted to wait for triaging and analysis here first.

Tested and it works as expected on X11.
