Created attachment 130738 [details] Demonstration of panel double take. SUMMARY Hidden panel does a double take when revealed by moving the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Move mouse to the edge of the screen, where the panel is located. 2. Wait for panel to reveal itself. 3. Observe the panel. OBSERVED RESULT Panel moves twice. EXPECTED RESULT Panel moves once. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It appears, that the behavior depends on the absence of getting focus on an element of the reveal button (compare different attempts to reproduce in the video). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.19 KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.72.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 Kernel Version: 5.3.0-51-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620
Cannot reproduce.
Created attachment 130764 [details] Second demonstration of panel double take. I found steps to reproduce, which work 100% of the time in my setup. 1. Vertical panel on the left. 2. The cursor should be moved over the empty space on the "Icons-only Task Manager" panel, under the icons of open applications (if any). 3. The cursor should be moved to the leftmost pixel of the screen. I have also noticed, that the mouse cursor _moves on its own_ one pixel to the right, when the panel is reveal the second time.
Still present in 5.19.5 Operating System: KDE neon 5.19 KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Kernel Version: 5.3.0-51-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620
Still reproducible in: Operating System: KDE neon 5.20 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.4.0-58-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 Note, that you have to keep pushing the mouse to the left to see the bug.
