Hi,

Some times there is a shadow in the panel, some times doesn't. The compositor is fine and active, there is no error msg there.

If I logout and login, or re-apply the compositor, the shadow returns. Maybe it's a compositor stuff (but there is no error msg), but all things is with shadows, only the panel doesn't.

My plasma is 100% theming default. No applets.

Kde Neon 5.19.

Are you using a high DPI scale factor or a high-resolution screen, by any chance?
Comment 2 viniciusbr 2020-08-10 14:25:21 UTC
I have high-resolution screen which I use it sometimes, using HDMI cable. But I didn't find a correlation with that yet. The printscreen that I sent was in my notebook without the high-resolution screen.
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2020-08-10 18:47:02 UTC
Thanks. Does it get fixed if you do the following?

rm ~/.cache/plasma*; plasmashell --replace
Comment 4 viniciusbr 2020-08-10 21:14:05 UTC
Ok. I did it. Let's test. If it back again I return here. Many thanks
Comment 5 viniciusbr 2020-08-11 13:35:33 UTC
Hi. I did it and the panel today appeared without shadows. Everything else is fine, it's just the panel.

My system is up to data, including the new ubuntu lts version.
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2020-08-11 19:40:31 UTC
So KRunner has shadows, but not the panel. Odd.
Comment 7 viniciusbr 2020-08-11 20:53:08 UTC
Indeed. Is there an way to debug it? How can I help?
Comment 8 Nate Graham 2020-08-11 21:11:08 UTC
Hopefully a more experienced Plasma developer will come along and be able to answer that question. :)
Comment 9 David Edmundson 2020-08-11 22:44:00 UTC
Do you have your ~/.cache/plasma-svgelements-default_vWHATEVER before and after handy?

It's plain text and might show something.

Comment 14 David Edmundson 2020-08-12 12:31:34 UTC
And I think even those differences aren't real, theyre' just in a different order.
Comment 15 Nate Graham 2020-12-17 19:30:48 UTC
Is this still happening with Frameworks 5.77 and Plasma 5.20?
Comment 16 viniciusbr 2020-12-17 19:41:35 UTC
Hi, I'm not using this new plasma version yet.
