SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. set "Desktop Effects > Magic Lamp > Animation duration = 4900 milliseconds"
2. try to minimize or maximize a window

OBSERVED RESULT

weird artifacts in the animation near the taskbar. 

EXPECTED RESULT

animation works smoothly without any artifacts

Linux/KDE Plasma: OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Unstable repostories (updated today)

The window isn't super smooth, but I can't see which artifact on the taskbar you're referring to

Can reproduce. A very minor issue as I don't imagine most people want their minimize effect to take 5 seconds. :)
