Description tomtomtomreportingin 2020-07-31 00:34:30 UTC
SUMMARY
Detaching the canvas will resize the dockers (I would assume in order to match the previous window size), which one might not expect.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Observe current docker sizes
2. Detach canvas
3. Observe new docker sizes

OBSERVED RESULT
Dockers are enlargened.

EXPECTED RESULT
Docker sizes should stay the same after detaching the canvas.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
I'm using the appimage so I'm not sure if it matters, but:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian sid
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The dockers stay huge after reattaching the canvas.

Yes :(

Combined with https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424847, this makes it difficult for someone to implement the detached canvas into their workflow, since both of these have to be configured every time.
