Hi Ezike,

The dialog not showing on wayland is a known bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421405. I have some questions on the other issues you mention.

Does the dialog through the alt+f3 menu show on X11?

On system settings (both x11 && wayland) the rules editor should show and allow you to add new properties to the rule via `Add Properties` and `Detect Window Properties` buttons. Is this also not working for you?

Thanks in advance

yes a dialog box show when you press alt + f3 but if you click
more actions >> configure application .... or configure window ....

the next dialog box does not show

there is no add properties or detect window properties button if there is where is it located ?

there is an attached video file showing the details of what i mean in it to clear any confusion the video was made on x11

You are right, sorry I missed the video.
It is very clear and this is indeed a different bug from the one I mentioned.

Could you please launch `kcmshell5 kwinrules` from a terminal and paste here the output? Specially after trying to edit a rule you have or adding a new one.

Thanks!

Nice! I guess this was due to some Qt goodies it uses from later releases not being completely updated. I'm closing the bug. Feel free to re-open if you experience it again.
