SUMMARY I create a vector layer and proceed to paint with the freehand path and nothing is showing. I try the bezier curve tool and same thing. I even select different colours and nothing. I select back and forth between other tools and the ones I'm trying as well as selecting a different layer and still nothing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make file. 2. Create a vector layer by hitting down arrow next to "+" in layers pannel. 3. Select bezier or freehand tool and try to paint. OBSERVED RESULT Canvas is left blank. I'll note that if I change the brush I'm using, it'll let me paint briefly and then stop. If I select a different brush tool I can paint briefly once again. If I try to pain another path with the same brush, nothing will show up. EXPECTED RESULT After I select the freehand path tool, I should she my path that I drew. If I select the bezier curve, I should be able to create lines between connected points. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm using Krita 4.3.0 that I downloaded from the site. I'm using the 64bit. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still had the same issue.
I don't have this problem with 4.3.0 running on Windows 10 64-bit. The Freehand Path and Bezier Curve tools work fine on vector and paint layers. Is it possible that in the Tool Options docker, you have the Outline set to Brush (Background Colour) with background colour set to white? Can you go to krita-artists.org and make a report topic there. That is a suitable place for this sort of discussion and the exchange of screenshots etc.

It seems like it's a problem with my HP pen. I can use the tools by using my finger on the mouse pad but when I try to use my pen, it doesn't work.
When I selected in my pen settings, "use pen as a mouse for some desktop programs", the pen now works for these tools.
