Created attachment 130922 [details] crash report plasmashell crashes on login after a logout. It not happens on the first login after a reboot, only when logout and login again. Versions: plasmashell 5.19.4 Qt 5.15.0 KDE Frameworks 5.73.0 openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200814 Linux 5.8.0-1-default x86_64
Problem is still persistent with : Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 Kernel Version: 5.4.67-1-MANJARO OS Type: 64-bit
Same problem with Plasma 5.20.2
I confirm that the bug persists on: openSUSE-release 20201111-759.1 plasmashell 5.20.2 Qt 5.15.1 KDE Frameworks 5.75.0 Linux 5.9.1-2-default x86_64 Using loginctl commands I observed that the session keeps running even after log out. This is the cause of all the problems when logging in again. It seems related to bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359651 Some of the process that persist with my session are: kio_http_cache_cleaner, kwin_x11, hp-systray ...
This was driving me crazy. I'm using https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/commit/da34fd073f6b361fde1fdcee559d60e8c0268cd6 as a workaround for now, no hangs yet on login with that revert.
I confirm the bug in: Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.77.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.10.1-4-MANJARO OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i3-3227U CPU @ 1.90GHz Memory: 5.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa DRI Intel® HD Graphics 4000
