SUMMARY The media frame widget, when loading in a folder of images, will flash white before the image changes. I've encountered the issue with or without image cropping done by the widget, but it will sometimes fade into a new picture just fine (generally low res). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Place Media Frame Widget onto desktop 2. Add path to folder with images (of course, this never occurs on a single image) OBSERVED RESULT The image, while loading in fine, will flash white on seemingly the last frame before the image fully fades into full opacity. EXPECTED RESULT I believe the expected behaviour is to just have the images fade from one to the other without the flash. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro KDE 20.0.3 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: Plasma 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can confirm this behavior on Kubuntu 20.04, Plasma 5.18.5
I can confirm this still happens on Plasma 5.21.4 on Manjaro KDE 21.0.3
