SUMMARY
On Archlinux I cannot update nor install any packages using Discover.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install discover & packagekit-qt5 on archlinux
2. Press get updates or attempt to install a package

OBSERVED RESULT
(for updating)

I am having similar issues with my install. It appeared to work for a bit, but now only the flatpak integration functions.

Can you try with pacman and see if it works there?
