SUMMARY When "Pause media players when suspending" is enabled, and current music playing is paused, suspending will un-pause the music, then pause it again. Upon resuming, the music will be un-paused. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Play music with a player that can be paused/un-paused through the system. 2. Pause the music. 3. In Advanced Power Management Settings, set "Pause media players when suspending" to "enabled". 4. Suspend the computer. 5. Resume OBSERVED RESULT Paused music plays for a second while suspending, then is paused again. Upon resuming, music automatically plays. EXPECTED RESULT Paused music stays paused after step 2 and does not resume. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.4.44-1-Manjaro (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION My current workaround is to turn off the "pause media players when suspending" option. If I manually pause before suspending, then I have no problems. This sounds related to 423317, but does not just involve Android.
Can you confirm which media player(s) this happens with?

Pause means Pause, not PlayPause. This is a player bug.
