Sample of journal logs showing baloo_file "renaming"

SUMMARY
Baloo shows files to be in folders that they aren't in.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. balooctl disable && balooctl purge && balooctl && balooctl enable
2. Restart the computer a few times
3. Search for a file, some will appear twice. One in the correct place, another in a random folder where it doesn't actually exist.

OBSERVED RESULT

Files will be reported to exist in folder in which they don't exist.

EXPECTED RESULT

Files should only be reported to exist where they exist.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 20.04 and also happens in Kubuntu 20.04
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I've noticed in journal logs strange behavior of baloo_file saying that it's "renaming" folders and files as well. I'm attaching a copy of part of the log.

Which filesystem are you using?

(In reply to Stefan Brüns from comment #1)
> Which filesystem are you using?

I'm using ext4 in my home folder and zfs for many of the folders in it.
Comment 3 Stefan Brüns 2020-07-12 00:44:40 UTC
ZFS will never be supported.
