How come? The Places sidebar on the left side of the window already shows all of those things.

True but a page like that is really familiar to all Windows users and it kinda feels something is missing

We're not trying to create a Windows clone here. It may be familiar to windows users, but all of that information is already available in the sidebar, so I really don't think it's necessary, sorry. :)
