SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to the plasma-nm applet
2. Disconnect a connected connection like Wired or VPN
3. The Plasma shell (desktop, kickoff) freezes for a few seconds

OBSERVED RESULT

Disconnecting network (wired, or VPN) causes Plasma Desktop to freeze

EXPECTED RESULT

The Plasma Shell does not freeze when disconnecting from a network

Additional information:

this behaviour only occurs on X11 and not on Wayland.
