Krita doesn't have any specific code for handling window management things like maximizing; so if there's an issue, it's unlikely we can fix it in Krita... Anyway:

* Are you using appimages, distribution packages, snaps or flatpaks?
* Does maximizing _still_ work if you run an older appimage?
Comment 2 g.vincenti 2020-07-03 15:24:51 UTC
I am using Snap.
I have not tried an older app image.
Comment 3 Halla Rempt 2020-07-03 15:49:43 UTC
Then please give that a try?

Comment 7 g.vincenti 2020-07-22 02:58:58 UTC
I have tried an older version (4.2.9) and I am able to maximize the window.
Comment 8 g.vincenti 2020-07-22 03:04:30 UTC
I have also tried the latest version (4.3) on snap, apt, and appimage. None of the versions can maximize the window.

Can you please check if switching to a different workspace in Window -> Workspace helps? I have it sometimes on Linux Mint that if I have a workspace that mentions a docker that doesn't exist in some version, or the workspace doesn't exist in that version or I removed the resources etc., it doesn't want to work properly as a window, but then when I select a different workspace, it's all fine again.

Would like to say that this is the first bug I encountered upgrading to 4.3.0

If, by any chance, the Snapshot Docker is on, close it. I'm using Linux Mint MATE 19.1 and closing the docker immediately maximized the window.

Switching to the default workspace worked. I am now running the apt version (4.3.0). Thank you!
