plasma-widget after updating

SUMMARY
All kdeplasma-addons do not update via the update button. I don't have Discover installed but instead update directly through the widget dialogues. 


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update via the widget dialogues. 


OBSERVED RESULT
Clicking on "updates" leads to "updating" without any further results. Restarting the system doesn't actually show any updates downloaded. In short, update system is broken and leaves users vulnerable due to lack of security fixes. 

EXPECTED RESULT
kdeplasma-addons should update via the widget dialogues.
