Description Michael K. 2020-06-28 12:04:39 UTC
I want to use bitmap font in Krita, so I installed some .bdf via the file manager (system wide installation of the spleen font from Github).
It is installed but not listed in Krita. Actually it is not listed in any application.
I went to the system settings to check if it is installed. It is not listed here either. When I try to install it again a message appears that it is already installed.

In my VM I have tried it on other KDE Plasma systems as well. Netrunner reports that it does not support bdf..., kde manjaro and openSUSE Leap 15.2 behave the same as my openSUSE Tumbleweed installation.

Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200625
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0
Kernel Version: 5.7.5-1-default
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6500T CPU @ 2.50GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa DRI Intel® HD Graphics 530

Sorry, but bitmap fonts aren't supported and will not be supported: this is a limitation of Qt.

I understand. Thanks for clarification.
