When clicking a package, a new panel appears on the right with detailed information and an "Install" option. There appears to be no way to close this new panel, without resorting to navigating somewhere else using the panel on the far left. (i.e., clicking "< Back" to go up level -- say from "Applications -> Developer Tools" back to "Applications" -- or clicking one of the top-level categories -- "Applications", "Application Addons", or "Plasma Addons" -- if you happened to click a package that was listed under "Featured" on the default view.)
Out of curiosity, why do you feel the need to close it? What would you expect to appear in its place if you were able to close it?

By default, Discover shows a thin column on the left (with search, applications, add-ons, installed, settings, about, update), and a larger column on the right showing a list of packages. When a particular package is chosen, it appears on the far right. My thought is that it would be nice to dismiss this (without needing to, e.g., click one of the categories in the far left column). This would be to reduce distraction, if you decide not to take any action (e.g., not install the app you clicked), and want to scroll through the rest of the list.
Can't you just click the Back button in the top-left corner of the page to go back to the browse/search view, if that's your goal?
Hi Nate. Here's an example case: * Click "Applications >" on the left * Click "Developer Tools >" on the left * Click "IDEs" on the left * Click "Builder" package If I'm done looking at "Builder", and want to focus on the the other IDE packages, and click "< Back", I'm back at the "Applications". I must click "Developer Tools >" again to get back where I was.
Cannot reproduce. When I click on the back button on the "Builder" page, I'm taken back to the list of IDEs. Can you attach a screen recording that shows the issue? Thanks!
