Created attachment 129557 [details] Video demo SUMMARY Using the global keyboard shortcut for Hide Window Border twice, first hiding it, then bringing it back, results in the Breeze decorator's shadow missing its mark by about (exactly?) the height of the titlebar, down below the bottom of the window. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use Breeze window decoration 2. Use keyboard shortcut to Hide Window Border, on a floating window 3. Use shortcut again, to bring the border back OBSERVED RESULT The bottom shadow is significantly below the bottom of the window. The problem disappears when the window is moved by hand, but remains if the window is moved by packing. EXPECTED RESULT The shadow looks the same before and after using the shortcut twice. I seem to be having the same issue now in plasma version 5.21.3 on arch. I'm not sure it was always like this. I'm pretty sure it wasn't. I changed the component to kwin because this doesn't just affect breeze, I tried with kvantum, lightly, and the adwaita widget styles as well. Like the video that andy provided shows. The issue goes away after moving the window. This problem does not just occur when using the shorcut. You could toggle the border using just the mouse or via a kwinscript and the result would be the same. Since I'm pretty sure this wasn't always happening. It may be that an update caused a regression somewhere.
Also persists in plasma 5.21.4
This bug was reported against an outdated version of KWin. We have made many changes since the. If the issue persists in newer versions can you reopen the bug report updating the version number.
