Description sleepwalker 2020-06-19 17:04:35 UTC
SUMMARY
After copy/paste a sudo command into the console I can not type the password into the console window. It does not take any key inputs (the window is active).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. opened it
2. pasted a sudo command
3. tried to type the pw without any effect

OBSERVED RESULT
no key input is arriving in the console after pasting a command

EXPECTED RESULT
key input should work

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Ahmad Samir 2020-06-19 17:08:09 UTC
This is normal, when entering a password at the CLI no characters appear; so you type the password then hit Enter.
Comment 2 Justin Zobel 2020-11-01 04:52:12 UTC
I can't reproduce this on KDE Neon Dev Edition.

What command specifically are you copying.

Any multi-line item will also fail as it will paste the second line as the sudo password if sudo hasn't been used recently in that terminal.
