I want to search through the available updates to see what packages have to be updated. And since there are a lot , I want to search through them to find the information for a specific package via the search bar in the top-left corner of the Plasma-Discover front-end.But instead of searching JUST in the upgradable packages , it shows me the result based on all the available packages. Steps to produce 1.Open Plasma-Discover 2.Click on Updates(Left-bottom corner) 3.Search for a package via the top-left search-bar It searches through all packages despite of the caption "Search in 'Updates'..." Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.3.0 / KDE Neon Unstable 5.19 KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2
Yeah, it doesn't work. :(

This is still the case in KDE 6.0. I tried to install updates but they got aborted because of Bug #484940. I tried to find if there were color picker related packages I was missing in my exclusions, but the search just lists apps without even including the proposed updates, let alone keeping the context of the update list. (It probably doesn't belong on the bugtracker, but the selection/filtering abilities Discover has wrt updates are poor at best and sorely need some work. I can't eg. Ctrl+click or Shift+click to select a bunch of packages. It's single click select every one, deselect all, or select all. That's it)
We should probably add a second filter field rather than re-using the one in the sidebar, which feels like it wants to be global in scope.
