Description Podagric 2020-06-17 14:40:28 UTC
When the night color is activated or deactivated, no notification is displayed. The systray icon is now displayed but I keep it hidden as I already have numerous programs running in the background and with icons in that location.

I'd like to suggest that this be added.

Thanks

KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0

Why would you like a notification? We go out of our way to make the visual transition so smooth that you don't notice it; adding a notification would kind of defeat the purpose of making this invisible.

I think it would be useful. I don't have a specific need but sometimes I'm working with banner printing and the colors change without me noticing and only then I saw that it was the night light that was activated automatically.

This smooth transition is really a great job well done but I think an option to notify about this change would also be useful. Almost everything on plasma kde is customizable, this could be one more of those things :)

It's up to Night Color to provide its own notifications--whether they are enabled by default or not. Moving there.
