SUMMARY
Column settings should use checkboxes

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open KSysGuard
2. Go to the process table tab
3. Right click on any column

OBSERVED RESULT

There are buttons for each not shown column with a show prefix and an option to hide the clicked column.

EXPECTED RESULT

I think there should be checkboxes for every tab. This would make it clearer.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Christoph Feck 2020-07-08 17:54:42 UTC
So you want to remove the option to hide the clicked column?

> So you want to remove the option to hide the clicked column?

I would put the clicked column on the top and also sort them by checked/unchecked (shown/not shown)
I think it makes more sense from a UX perspective.
Comment 3 Christoph Cullmann 2024-09-23 21:01:15 UTC
ksysguard is no longer maintained, in Plasma 6 there is the Plasma system monitor for this task.

If your wish is still valid for the Plasma 6 replacement, please re-open and we can move this bug to the new product, thanks!
