SUMMARY Sorry, I never submitted a bug. Not sure if here is the right place. It first happened with VS Code. I installed it with Snap, then started the VS Code from Applications/Development where it's supposed to be. I configured the settings and all was well. However, I didn't use that PC for few weeks and when I started it VS Code was not in Applications/Development. It was in nowhere to be found. I thought that maybe I forgot to install it but when I tried to install it again with Snap it said that it was already installed. After messing a bit with Snap I manged to reinstall the VS Code but now it's present in both Applications/Development and Applications/Utilities. Now it happened the same with Simplenote. It's installed but it's nowhere in the menu and I can't even start it through command line?! STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install the app with Snap 2. Wait (or reboot few times), not sure?? OBSERVED RESULT The app disappears from menu. EXPECTED RESULT The app should be in the menu. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: THe one with Kubuntu 20.04 KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: 5.12.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Can you see if this is fixed with the new Kickoff UI in Plasma 5.21 (currently in git master)? A lot of this code was rewritten which means there's a chance it got fixed in the process. Thanks!
