Maybe because of my yesterdays update, I start krusader and trying to activate the embedded terminal I get the messagebox which tells me it cannot be created and I should install konsole. Konsole is still installed and starts without problems I am aware off. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start krusader 2. activate "Settings/Show Embedded Terminal" My questions would be in the first place how I could collect more useful information. OBSERVED RESULT message box appears "Cannot Create Embedded Terminal // You can fix this by installing konsole" EXPECTED RESULT embedded Terminal should appear as usual SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Frameworks 5.70.0 Qt 5.15.0 (built against 5.14.2) The xcb windowing system
I downgraded the konsole package without success, now, after updating it again, it works like it should. So it remains an unsolved mystery ...
Krusader uses a component called "konsolepart", which is shipped in the Konsole package. I think a reinstallation solved a misconfiguration left from the previous upgrade (Krusader does not load konsolepart directly, it uses another KDE component called KService).
