Screenshot of the issue, left is good, right is horizontally shifted

SUMMARY

As per the attached screenshot: whenever a folder contains enough items to be > 1 line high, the icons are nicely centered.

Folders containing fewer items have them shifted to the left

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create two folders
2. Create enough items in one to not fit into one line (e.g. 5 items if you have four per line)
3. Create fewer items in the other one
4. Open both folders

OBSERVED RESULT

Icons in one cases are horizontally shifted to the left

EXPECTED RESULT

Icons are horizontally placed the same
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Reproducable on Fedora (with below versions) and Gentoo (mostly the same versions, has been an issue for a while)
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE apps 20.04.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70
Qt Version: 5.13.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a minor papercut, but it makes the UI very "jumpy" when navigating through folders, which is a bit annoying.

I can't actually see the problem when I look at the screenshot, even after reading the description. Any chance you could attach a screen recording that makes it obvious?
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2020-06-15 16:47:40 UTC
Ah I see it now when comparing the icon location to the arrow in the path bar.
