SUMMARY
If you use the plasmoid in a panel you can't get keyboard focus(up/down/enter). This is also the case when you activate the plasmoid using the shortcut.

There are also focus issues when you have it on the desktop. To get the focus you have to click on the plasmoid and hover over an entry, only after that you can navigate/launch.
