SUMMARY I have the Logout / Shutdown widget on my Plasma panel in Plasma 5.19 on Wayland, and I often have to click it twice before it shows the logout options. The bug does not happen all the time, as sometimes it works fine on first click. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a Plasma Wayland session 2. Put the Shutdown/ Logout widget on the panel 3. Click it OBSERVED RESULT Sometimes clicking it once does nothing, you have to do it twice. EXPECTED RESULT Working on first click every time. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.19 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70 Qt Version: 5.15.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Cannot reproduce on X11.
I can't reproduce it on wayland with master version and Qt 5.15
Actually it's not a Wayland-specific problem, since it also happens on X11 on my machine.
Is it about "Shutdown or Switch" widget?: https://store.kde.org/p/1288430/
Nate, what Qt version you tested with? Can't reproduce on Wayland, Qt5 5.14. (considering we are speaking of "Shutdown or Switch" widget above)
(In reply to Andrey from comment #4) > Is it about "Shutdown or Switch" widget?: > https://store.kde.org/p/1288430/ No, it is the Logout / Shutdown widget which is present by default in Plasma (I think), I did not download it through the store.
Got it. Still can't reproduce it: Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04 KDE Version: 5.19.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 It would be nice if you retest on more recent Plasma

Yes it's still happening, I just tried (on X11) and it happened.

Shall we remove "Wayland" from title/flags? Yes, still happening on opensuse latest (see below) using X11. Quick question - how do you update a widget or get a release level of a widget using the "Add Widget" function so you know what version is installed? opensuse:tumbleweed:20200812 Qt: 5.15.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.73.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.19.4 - kwin 5.19.4 kmail2 5.14.3 (20.04.3) - akonadiserver 5.14.3 (20.04.3) - Kernel: 5.8.0-1-default - xf86-video-n

The problem does not seem to occur anymore, but I switched from a Latte panel to a regular Plasma panel, so maybe the problem was in Latte.
Thanks! Let's call it fixed for now. :)
