SUMMARY
Desktop turns black (crash). Applications can be run using Alt+F2. That happened after the last update

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Boot Linux
2. Login

OBSERVED RESULT
The Desktop shows for 2 or 3 seconds and then turns black. 

EXPECTED RESULT
Regular Desktop

Linux/KDE Plasma: 
Parrot OS (rolling) based on Debian Testing

This is what I get from a first run ob gdb plasmashell.... I'll try to provide more useful information but there are no debug packages in parrot (d'oh). I will try to import them from debian or compile them.

(No debugging symbols found in plasmashell)
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/plasmashell

qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb.


Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted.
