Description Mattia Basaglia 2020-06-06 11:12:37 UTC
SUMMARY

Under specific configurations maximized windows stretch too much and are covered by the panels.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Connect two screens
2. In the display settings, put a screen to the left and one to the right
3. In the left screen add a vertical panel on its right edge
4. Open a window on that same screen and maximize it

OBSERVED RESULT

The maximized window goes under the panel.

Note that if you disable the other screen, or you move it to other sides in the display settings this issue doesn't occur.

EXPECTED RESULT

The maximized window should use the space between panels in the current screen, regardless of the virtual position of other screens.

This appears to be fixed since I can put a right side panel in a screen to the left without having issues with maximized windows taking too much space. Tested with Plasma 5.26.1.
