Created attachment 129054 [details]
Contains images described above

When "Update stock and currency prices" window is resized new dimension, position and column widths not remembered /saved. The higher the resolution (in my case 3840 * 2160) the greater the need to resize.
Problem tested in Versions 4.8.2 thru to 5.06 and 5.08 Attached are images of before and during process.
The same issue occurs when using "Select Autofill Transaction" (images supplied)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the" Update Stock and Currency" dialog box
2. Resize and reposition window and resize columns
3. Retrieve prices
4. Close the dialog box and then repeat the process - window has reverted to
   original position and size
5. Repeat similar steps for "Select Autofill Transaction" when updating
   ledgers

OBSERVED RESULT
Dialog boxes revert to default size and position

EXPECTED RESULT
Dialog boxes should open in new position and size

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10 2004

KDE Frameworks Version:5.69.0
Qt Version: 5.14.1 (built against 5.14.1)

I don't believe that windows is actually programmed to retain it's size and position across invocations. If one of the developers confirms that, this can become a wishlist to request that behavior (probably applying to many KMM dialogs) so it doesn't get forgotten as a request.
Also, in the future, please attach each screenshot separately so users can view more directly instead of having to download and unpack. Thanks.

Hi Jack
Thanks for the prompt reply. I am sure your analysis is correct. I believe the same issue exists with the backup dialog also. Having recently moved to a much higher resolution these issues are more annoying than before. It was the first time I have used the reporting system and had not realised that multiple files could be uploaded individually.
A great piece of software whatever
Kind regards
Martin

I've adjusted the subject and changed to a wishlist. The uploading of attachments is a functionality of bugzilla, and unfortunately, it's only one at a time, but preferred that way so each can be more easily viewed.

Per bug 422494, the Main Window is probably a candidate for this.

Adjusting subject to be more inclusive: main window, config windows, all dialogs.
