I couldn't decide if this was a mistake. I use English as the general (interface) system language, but I use the Turkish Q keyboard layout as the keyboard layout. I think the Virtual Keyboard that comes with the Login Screen (SDDM) or Screen Locking (Meta + L) should show the keyboard layout, not the system language. Operating System: KDE neon Testing Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 Kernel Version: 5.3.0-53-generic OS Type: 64-bit
It seems that nobody other than me has a complaint about this.
I agree that it should use the keyboard layout by default. It's possible to switch it but still annoying
It's been over a year. The problem still persists. The virtual keyboard isn't part of Plasma, so there isn't anything we can do about it. Please report this to Qt if you're using QtVirtualKeyboard, or to Maliit if you're using that (it's the default on most distros nowadays)
