SUMMARY
I have moved my webpresence to another server. Since then, when I connect to that server in Kate to open a file the message about the changed host key appears and I have to acknowledge that this is correct and what I want. See the attached screenshot. Unfortunately KDE/ Kate lacks the possibility to permanently confirm that this change is correct. Thus I have to confirm this every time. I am not sure if this is a bug of Kate itself or an underlying framework. May be this bug needs to be reassigned.
I am aware that I can remove the line in .knownhosts-file myself (which I have finally done), but still it is not the behaviour I would expect from KDE

You just need to fix the host key in your known_hosts file. This is an ssh change, not related to kate.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring once you change the ssh file or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
