SUMMARY I noticed that over time Kdenlive seems to bloat the home folder if you work on multiple different projects over time. 2 Month ago I completely erased the Kdenlive cache folder and it grew to a size of 58.1 GiB - 2549 Files and 133 Folders in just two month. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Work on multiple Kdenlive projects 2. Observe teh folder at ~/.cache/kdenlive grow OBSERVED RESULT Growing cache folder EXPECTED RESULT Not endlessly growing cache folder SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed (Kernel: 5.6.14) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70 Qt Version: 5.14.1
There is a cache management interface now if you go to Settings - Manage Cached Data. Does that work for you? The cache files are generated proxies and the user should handle those.
