Do you use the AppImage?
If not please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.04.1b to see if there are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/

If the problem/issue doesn't occur when using the AppImage, then it's your configuration or packaging.

Hey there just tried the AppImage and it seems not to suffer from this issue.
I guess I need to file this to the Kdenlive RPM package maintainer of openSUSE. Thank you! :)

Thank you for the feedback and contribution. Glad to hear it works.

We have many issues just due to wrong packaging. Yes, it would be very helpful if you file this issue to the package maintainer of the Linux distribution.

In fact I think this was solved just after 20.04.1 release, but the patch was included in the AppImage:
https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/commit/549f89545ef7fdad94dd0355d74bf2839acb7b99

So it is probably not a packaging error, just a bugfix that missed the release deadline

That sound about right. Accroding to the Kdenlive spec file it is based uppon the source from:
https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/20.04.1/src/kdenlive-20.04.1.tar.xz

If this is the release source with this bug it is very much the case.

Thank you for letting us know so I guess it will be fixed in the next official release then :D
