Created attachment 128617 [details] missing/messed up icons Kolourpaint SUMMARY I have been using Kolourpaint perfectly, on-and-off for the last year installed on Manjaro XFCE. Currently running on kernel 5.4.40-1 Unfortunately since the last time I run the program again, the icons in de main toolbar (on the left) are missing or are messed up. I honestly don't know if this is a bug, or some kind of other issue. There are some other reports with the same issue (in Manjaro). I have been looking for a way to fix this for quite a while, but unfortunately without any success. KolourPaint version: 20.07.70 When running from terminal I get: qt5ct: using qt5ct plugin qt5ct: D-Bus global menu: no Trying to reinstall qt5ct, or saving the config tool etc didn't work. If not a bug, i would like to get some technical assistance how to solve this issue and/or in what direction I have to look. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Package: KolourPaint Version: 20.07.20 Severity: normal Installed from: Manjaro OS: Manjaro XFCE (Linux) kernel: 5.4.40-1
it seems some of the icons are either not installed or not found. They should be in ${DATA_INSTALL_DIR}/kolourpaint/icons e.g. here on openSUSE they are in /usr/share/kolourpaint/icons/

Created attachment 128930 [details] Icons look correct after changing theme
Same in Manjaro Gnome 20.0.1. The terminal showed that "gnome-icon-theme" and "breeze-icon" were missing. After installing those packages the icons were already seen but with a very light color(view attachments). Finally running "qt5ct" and selecting another theme in "Icon Theme"(Papirus) they were seen correctly.
maybe the light icons are from the "high contrast" icon theme. Whatever, this is not a bug in kolourpaint since it does not provide these icons.
