Showcase of disappearing left pane

SUMMARY

I am almost sure this is a bug in Kirigami framework. Nevertheless, I observed it in KDE Connect app, so a bug report wouldn't hurt.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an app
2. Window shows two panes beside each other
3. Resize/shrink, so that left pane becomes what is called a "hamburger menu"
4. Press X to close the hamburger
5. Resize back to wide window, until hamburger button (an icon at top left) hides

OBSERVED RESULT

Left pane is not accessible, hamburger icon is invisible.

EXPECTED RESULT

Left pane should come back; or at least hamburger icon must disappear.
