SUMMARY My Huion Kamvas 16 is being read as a mouse in the tablet tester. I'm on the latest Ubuntu Linux, evtest shows tablet pressure events. It works fine in MyPaint. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Draw with tablet 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Tablet is treated as a mouse, pressure sensitivity does not work. EXPECTED RESULT Tablet is treated as a tablet, pressure sensitivity works.
Does it work in the tablet tester window? See https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/preferences/tablet_settings.html#tablet-tester
Oh, and are you actually using Ubuntu packages of the beta, or a different version of Krita or the appimage?

I just tried the 5.0.0 prealpha, also gave the same result in the tablet tester and drawing on the canvas.
If it shows up as a mouse in the tablet tester, only mouse events are coming through. This may be a problem in Qt, or a problem with the drivers, but not a bug in Krita, I'm sorry. (That mypaint works doesn't mean a lot, mypaint uses GTK, so it has completely different tablet code). We could try to add support to Qt, but given that we don't have the hardware, that's going to be difficult.
As a note to future travellers, this issue went away when upgrading Ubuntu to 20.04.
