Created attachment 128323 [details] Corrupted version of plasma-org.kde.plasma-desktop-appletsrc Hello, from time to time I see an issue where settings in ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma-desktop-appletsrc seem to get silently removed somehow without doing any configuration change related to them. This has visibly affected pinned launchers in my panel (icon-only-task-manager) and my desktop wallpaper. It happens the following way: Suddenly when I have logged in after boot I find the wallpaper being reseted to a default one and some of my pinned launcher icons in the panel are suddenly missing - while everything was ok when I last logged out. This has happened the same or a very similar way for 3-4 times, with roughly 1-3 months between the incidents. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to reproduce this since from my point of view this happens "out of nowhere". I found out that deletions in plasma-org.kde.plasma-desktop-appletsrc are responsible for the missing launchers/changed wallpaper, so I'm attaching: - the "corrupted" version of the respective file - the version restored from a three-day-old backup - the diff between the two versions While I'm reporting this bug from Kubuntu 20.04 (without backport PPA), I have also seen this on Kubuntu 19.10 with backport PPA (and maybe even 19.04). Is there anything I can do to help debugging this issue?
