SUMMARY Im on a Macbook pro running high sierra, and I have a Huion 420 tablet. The Huion driver detects pen pressure, but Krita does not. Ive reinstalled both the drivers and krita multiple times but to no avail. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. Try switching to Windows Ink: https://docs.krita.org/en/contributors_manual/user_support.html#quick-solutions and make sure to restart your PC afterwards to see the effects. Also btw., in cases like that it's better to ask for help on krita-artists.org forum, which is much more user-oriented and user-friendly than this website. This website is more like development-oriented.
Ahh you're on MacOS... ummm, complain to either Apple or Mac, then... or Qt. We don't manage a single line of code to manage tablets on Mac, we only use Qt library (for a lot of stuff and on all systems) so Qt library talks to the system which talks to the tablet driver. On mac right now the only semi-reliable tablets are Wacoms, unfortunately. It's not something we can fix... You can try resetting Krita configuration just in case: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration
