left and right sidebars screen copy, the mouse was over one of the invisible buttons during copy

SUMMARY

In the left and right sidebars only the active buttons are visible (one in each bar). However the other buttons are present and can be clicked. They appears as a tiny rectangle when putting the mouse over. Once clicked and active the button's text become visible and the previously selected button disappears.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Permanent behavior present at program start-up

OBSERVED RESULT

Only the active button is visible

EXPECTED RESULT

All buttons visible

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Ubuntu 20.04, Gnome desktop
Digikam deb package version 4:6.4.0+dfsg-3build1 
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0

This problem have been already reported in the past. It must be fixed in next 7.0.0.

I don't see any icons. Install the Breeze Icon theme. In the digiKam Setup and Miscellaneous-> Appearance, select the appropriate Breeze Icon theme (Breeze-Dark for dark color themes).

In the setup under Miscellaneous there is also an option to always show the text for the tabs.

Yes. That was the point.
The Breeze icons were not installed in the system. After installation and selection everything works fine.
