Thanks for the report. Can you install debug symbols for sane (sane-dbg on ubuntu) and try to reproduce the crash? The debug symbols could help with locating the problem. The current crash dump indicates that the crash is in the genesys scanner backend. Do you get the same crash with xsane? Thanks, Kåre
