I used kde-connect to copy files from the internal storage a mobile (Xiaomi Redmi Note 4) to my KDE desktop. Also I transferred theses files to the internal storage of another phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro). In my case the files are backup files from Signal (<internal storage>/Signal/backups). The sizes are about 225MB. The backup import failed and after some research I found that the md5 sum differs. This means the files got corrupted during transfer. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. make md5 hash of bigger file on internal phone storage (e.g. using hashstamp) 2. copy this file using kde-connect to plasma desktop 3. make md5 hash of copied file using mdsum OBSERVED RESULT md5 hash differ EXPECTED RESULT md5 hash matches SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.3.0-24-lowlatency / Kubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Operating System: Kubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8 Kernel Version: 5.3.0-24-lowlatency OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7 CPU Q 840 @ 1.87GHz Memory: 7,7 GiB
