Description Santiago Aguilar 2020-05-06 23:25:27 UTC
SUMMARY
Hi, when I want to add a character with the previous shortcut it only works in some applications like Google Chrome or Visual Studio Code. Is it possible in can work in all Qt applications? Like Kate or Konsole?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an application that accepts text. e.g. Sublime Text, Kate, Konsole.
2. Press Ctrl-Shift-U and input a number, after that add a space.

OBSERVED RESULT
It doesn't show the Unicode character, instead shows the number you input.

EXPECTED RESULT
Show the Unicode character from the hex number introduced.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.04
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.12.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I know this is a Gnome feature when pressing the shortcut appears a 'u_' and then you type the hex code, can this be considered too? Or maybe a special setting to show that for certain users?

Thank you.
