Okular is using way too much of memory

Steps to reproduce:
Open any PDF file, and scroll through the document for sometime.

It even crossed 6GiB in my-case.
In comparison, I tested doing the same with Evince, at max it crossed 300MiB and it is much more faster.

Okular Version: 1.10.0

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.69.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2
Kernel Version: 5.6.8-arch1-1
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM

Thank you.

Have you tried adjusting the memory usage settings in Okular? You can choose from "Low", "Normal", "Aggressive" and "Greedy".
Comment 2 nilsocket 2020-05-06 11:08:21 UTC
With "low" setting it isn't crossing 300MiB.

Information which I reported is with "Normal" setting.

Thank you.

Not a bug, memory is there to be used.

Yes memory is there to be used, but it's inappropriate to use 6GiB for a single pdf, under "normal" setting.

Thank you.
