SUMMARY

DNG images from Leica M9 no displayed as thumbnails and display error message on attempt to view.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open folder with DNG images
2. Attempt to view
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT

Grey rectangle with red circle and diagonal bar instead of thumbnail.
Loading '*.dng' failed.
Loading meta information failed.

EXPECTED RESULT
Thumbnail displayed, image could be viewed.

Windows: 
macOS: 
Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 20.04 (new installation) running gdm3 with LXDE desktop
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: meta-kde (5:104ubuntu4) focal

Was working previously.
