SUMMARY

I am running KDE plasma with a remote X11 server. If I resize the remote screen window, expand it for example, desktop and panel will not adjust their size as expected, thus leave expanded area blank, but I am able to drag windows freely across whole screen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set environment variable 'DISPLAY' to remote xserver
2. Start KDE plasma session by startplasma-x11
3. Resize remote xserver screen

OBSERVED RESULT

Windows running in KDE automatically adjusted their position and size, but panel and desktop background did not.

EXPECTED RESULT

All the components in KDE should automatically fit the new screen size.

Thanks for reporting this issue. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Any chance you can upgrade to Plasma 5.27.5 to see if it's still an issue? Thanks!
