Not sure if this a bug in Plasma widget/notification area or Krename. I cannot seem to dismiss the progress bars for each successfully renamed file. I just have to log out and log back in again. I am not seeing this issue for other progress file actions like copying files. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select files to rename on a network share 2. Press Finish 3. Progress is displayed in notifications but do not disapear even after successful rename. To add a bit more detail. 1) Open up Krename 2) edit in the interface adding suffix to files to rename 3) can see the potential changes made in the Krename window 4) press finish) Observed result A small window appears showing over all progress Notifications pop up in system tray (Plasma notification area by clock) Small window updates at the end saying finished, giving options to re open Krename, close etc and I close that window Files were successfully renamed. But! the notifications continue in the system tray/ notification see screen shot, I can not cancel them. Expected result should be as above but in addition the notification pop up should show completed and minimize/disapear
(Sorry for the late reply.) Krename doesn't use Plasma notifications directly. The notifications in the screenshot look like they originate from the KIO framework and I can't reproduce the behaviour you describe. What's the version of your KDE Frameworks (available in Help -> About KRename -> Libraries tab)?

Ok. Is it still reproducible with 5.0.1? Are the files on a network/remote file system?
Yes its a connection to a remote share. SMB share on a NAS box. (connected using autofs) Seems now that I am getting no system tray pop up notifications, which is fine. I just have the dialogue box saying completed. Perhaps we can consider this closed? I am happy to resolve it.
