SUMMARY Gwenview's rendering of any eps figure is of very low resolution and pixelated. There does not appear to be any setting to change the resolution at which the eps is rendered. The bug has been there since many many versions, so much so I can't even remember the last time I used Gwenview for eps figures. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open any eps figure in Gwenview 2. Compare the rendering vs another viewer, say Okular OBSERVED RESULT The eps figure is rendered as a raster image, at an extremely low resolution. EXPECTED RESULT eps being a vector format, the render should not show any signs of pixelation. Also, when zooming in, the presentation of the vector graphics should be preserved. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.04 / Linux 5.4.0 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68 Qt Version: 5.12.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Use Okular or Inkscape for vector formats. Gwenview is a raster based viewer.
