I use a hidden dock and whant to show the dock with meta key. The solution "Can I use my super key to open the app launcher?" from the wiki is not what I wanted. I want to show the dock, not the app launcher - I dont have an app launcher in my latte dock. For launching apps I use the krunner with Alt+Space. But I could not found any method on the dbus to show a hidden dock. An option to show a hidden dock with meta key only would be nice. did you try to go to Plasma Systemsettings->Global Shortcuts->Latte Dock->Show Latte Dock/Panel ?
Yes but I cannot assign only meta key as shortcut. Currently I assigned meta+space as workaround. From the example in the wiki (https://github.com/psifidotos/Latte-Dock/wiki/F.A.Q.#q-can-i-use-my-super-key-to-open-the-app-launcher) I assume the meta only shortcut has a specially treated by kwin.
Do you have in Behavior advanced page, Actions, Prefer this view for global shortcuts based on position?
Created attachment 128037 [details] Behavior Settings View Does not look like this. But "Activate based on position through global shortcuts". By holding the meta button I can bring the latte dock to the front. I find that very "uncomfortable". I just want to tap once and don't have to wait. btw I upgraded to fedora 32 and latte dock was updated in version 0.9.10
